PETITION TO STOP IMMIGRATION RAIDS AND DEPORTATIONS

WE the undersigned demand that President GEORGE BUSH issue an EXECUTIVE ORDER to the DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY to IMMEDIATELY STOP ALL immigration related Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) police RAIDS AND DEPORTATIONS and to IMMEDIATELY RELEASE ALL those HELD ON IMMIGRATION CHARGES in detention centers throughout the country. ICE has acted as a military occupation force victimizing peaceful, hard working migrant workers and in the process is undermining the rights of all workers in our workplaces, places of commerce, and in our neighborhoods. We demand that a MORATORIUM ON IMMIGRATION RAIDS be put in place IMMEDIATELY. President Bush has the power to do so.
